Campaign contributions to local elections candidates are unfortunately not eligible for tax receipts. If you give $100 or more to a local elections candidate, your name and contribution amount will be published in Elections BC's Financial Reports and Political Contributions System (FRPC). 

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Any amount that you donate to the CAMpaign is greatly appreciated! For 2026, you can give a total of $1,429.70 to a local elections candidate.

  • Your donation helps to fuel the CAMpaign! I will only use CAMpaign donations for legitimate expenses, such as door knocking materials and signs. I really appreciate your support! #yeswecam!

  • Your donation to my CAMpaign is greatly appreciated. However, campaign contributions to local elections candidates are unfortunately not eligible for tax receipts.

  • You can make a CAMpaign contribution if you are:

    • a resident of B.C., and

    • a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

    Organizations cannot make campaign contributions or reimburse individuals for making campaign contributions.

  • If you give $100 or more to a local elections candidate or elector organization, your name and contribution amount will be published in Elections BC’s Financial Reports and Political Contributions System (FRPC).
